Harris Manchester was placed 3rd on the Norrington Table for 2021/22, a new record for the college.
We are absolutely delighted that Harris Manchester College is placed 3rd in the Norrington Table 2021/22, with a score of 77.7%; and this is a measure of the efforts of all the students and their tutors.
The ranking is calculated by taking the degree classifications (first class, 2:1, 2:2 and third class) that were awarded to final-year undergraduate students, assigning them a value and ultimately expressing this as a percentage of the potential score achievable. The higher the percentage, the higher a college scores in the table.
You can see the full table, along with a detailed explanation of how scores are calculated, on the University’s website.
The Norrington Table is named after Sir Arthur Norrington, former President of Trinity College, who devised the table in the 1960s.
This is a wonderful achievement - the first time the college has been in the top three in the Norrington Table. Congratulations to our 2022 finalists, and all our tutors and staff who taught and supported them.
