Speaker: Dr Janina Ramirez, HMC Research Fellow in the History of Art and BBC Broadcaster
Dr Janina Ramirez discusses her bestselling new book, Femina, which highlights unjustly forgotten pioneers and demonstrates how easily historical narratives can be manipulated. It’s a timely novel that looks at the manipulation of history, by gatekeepers (in this case masculine) who have removed historical figures from our collective memories and how this and many other misconceptions underpin our historical narratives.
