James Coole-Stevenson will be performing a recital of art song, sacred music and opera selections at Harris Manchester College Chapel on June 10th. Selections will include works by Gustav Holst (The Vedic Hymns), Cecilia McDowell's Da Vinci Requiem and Ravel's Don Quichotte.
James is an accomplished vocalist who has completed degrees in music at the University of Ottawa and the University of Toronto. He recently performed in his professional debut with Fargo-Moorhead Opera in their production of Puccini's Turandot, as Ping and the Mandarin.
James is a lyric baritone and has performed in a wide variety of productions, including performing lead roles in Don Giovanni and A Tale of Two Cities. He has worked with notable musicians such as Paul Agnew from Les Arts Florissants.
