Common Threads is our Hilary Term 2023 chapel theme, with contributions from poet Romola Parish, from Rania Hafez, founder of Muslim Women in Education and from visiting Unitarian Universalist Minister Dr Oscar Sinclair as well as our Chaplain, Rev Dr Claire MacDonald. Hosted by Claire with Musical Director James Whitbourn, our mid-week gatherings are short, simple and contemplative with readings from across faiths and music sung by our college choir and played by organ scholar Alastair Stone. This term includes reflections for Holocaust Memorial day, a special service for Candlemas Eve, a contemplative service for LGBTQ+ History Month and a service for International Women’s Day. We look forward to welcoming you – and we are actively looking for readers, singers, musicians and performers as we start this new college term and a new year, so do get in touch.
This service will be led by Rev Dr Claire MacDonald.
Common Threads occurs Wednesday evenings 5:45-6:25 in Harris Manchester College Chapel.
